人は自然から一瞬だけ素材を「預かり」、やがてその循環へ「還す」存在です。
土から生まれ、変容し、また土へと戻る営みを、織りと素材を通して見つめています。

Azukari, Kaesu – Receiving and Returning
すべては土から生まれます。
野菜やそれを食べる動物、ガラスや陶器、石油、そしてそこから生まれるプラスチックまでも。
私たち人間もまた、同じ循環のただ中にあり、土の恩恵によって生かされている存在です。そして、土から生まれたものは、いずれ土へと還っていきます。
では、この世界をかたちづくる無数の素材や生命は、一体「誰のもの」なのでしょうか。
もしかすると、それらは私たちの所有物ではなく、自然から一時的に「預かっている」だけのものなのかもしれません。
私たちは、この一瞬のあいだだけ、それらを手に取り、感じ、形づくり、そして再び手放していく。
私は今、この身体を預かり、世界に存在する無数の物質と触れ合うことのできる奇跡の瞬間を生きています。布を織るという行為は、指先に触れる一本の糸が重なり、新たな形へと立ち上がっていくプロセスそのものが、地球の大いなる循環へと通じる儀式のように感じられます。
「預かり、還す」。
その大きな流れの中に自らを置き、織りの行為を通して命の奇跡と自然の営みを見つめること。
そこに、私にとっての創造の源泉と感動があります。
私は、創造の起点となった日本の古代布や、楮・大麻・カラムシなどの植物繊維を用いて織り上げた作品、そして徳島の藍師・染師「BUAISOU」と協働した藍染の実践を通して、素材が生まれ、変容し、再び自然へと還っていくその流れを探究しています。
こうした活動を通じて、自然と人がめぐりあう循環の姿を、少しでも感じていただければ幸いです。

Everything is born from the earth.
Vegetables, the animals that feed on them, glass and ceramics, petroleum, and even the plastics derived from it.
Human beings also live within this same cycle, sustained by the blessings of the soil. And everything that arises from the earth eventually returns to it.
Then, to whom do the countless materials and lives that shape this world truly belong?
Perhaps they are not our possessions, but things we merely “receive” for a brief moment—entrusted to us temporarily by nature.
For only an instant do we hold them, feel them, shape them, and eventually release them again.
I am living in that very instant now, entrusted with this body and able to touch the countless materials that exist in the world. The act of weaving—where a single thread meets the fingertips, layers upon itself, and rises into form—feels like a ritual that connects me to the great circulation of the earth.
“Receiving, and Returning.”
To place oneself within that larger flow, and through the act of weaving, to look closely at both the miracle of life and the quiet workings of nature.
There lies the source of my creation and the place where my sense of wonder arises.
Through ancient Japanese textiles that inspired my practice, through works woven from plant fibers such as kōzo, hemp, and ramie, and through indigo dyeing realized in collaboration with the artisans of BUAISOU in Tokushima, I explore the movement of materials as they are born, transformed, and eventually return to the natural world.
It is my hope that these ongoing explorations allow you to sense this cycle where nature and human activity meet.
