モノに宿る情報は膨大である。私にとって、モノの持つ情報（色、匂い、触感など）は私の記憶を呼び起こす鍵となる。今回、玉島のアーティストインレジデンスに参加し、この機会に得ることができる全ての感動を、余すことなく記録する為に、私は身の回りにある、ありとあらゆるモノをその場で織物にし、織物日記（Weaving Diary）として記録した。遊牧民の織技法を研究し、自作した織機を毎日持ち歩き、玉島の人々と関わり、土の匂いをかぎながら織り上げた玉島の布は私の記憶そのものである。そして、僕にとってここで織り上げた織物日記は、玉島で感じた言葉では記し残すことのできない感覚すらも呼び起こす記録媒体でもある。

The information which exists in a thing is massive.As for me, information(such as colors, smells, and textures) that exists in things will be a key to evoking my memories.This time, I joined “ARTIST IN RESIDENCE” of Tamashima, in order to fully record all the feelings of being moved that I am able to get in this opportunity, I made everything around me into the woven fabric on-site and recorded those as a weaving diary.This Tamashima fabric I had woven by studying a weaving technique of the nomad tribe and carrying a self-made weaving machine every day while communicating with people in Tamashima and smelling soils are my memories.Therefore, this weaving diary that I had woven is also a medium for memorizing that can evoke feelings that I felt in Tamashima, which are not able to be noted by words.
