人は記憶から溢れた情報を記号化し、モノに記録することで、人の脳機能を遥かに超えた、多大な情報を持つことができる様になった。過去に記録された情報は人類の進歩そのものであり、人類が脈々と繋げている知識の鎖である。 この作品で使用している素材は、今もなお、織物産業で使われている紋紙（情報を穴で記録した紙）である。それはただのセルロース繊維を固めたモノでしかない。しかし、このモノに刻み込まれた情報はモノの重さを遥かに超える。

Human beings have become able to keep massive information that is much more than the capacities of human brain functionalities by recording into a thing with encoding the information that is overflowed from human memories. The information which is recorded in the past is the progress itself of humankind, and it is also a chain of knowledge that human beings have continued generation by generation. The material which I used for this work is Mongami(A paper with recorded information by punching holes) that has been used in the textile industry still now. It is just a solidified cellulose fiber. However, the information which is engraved on Mongami far exceeds the importance of the thing itself.
