A story before material has been material.
It was mass, existence, and life itself.

Humans are creatures that make things. Ever since humans made stone tools out of stones that are natural thing the urge to make something has continued to this day. Various natural things in the world have driven the impulse of humans to make something, and along with that, life has become prosperous. And the encounter with fibers is also one of the things that changed human life profoundly. Humans, who had only the skin to protect their bodies, acquired clothes that can be called a second skin to protect their skin thanks to the encounter with fibers such as trees, grasses, and furs.Making materials from native flora and fauna. It is very light and thin, and can be stretched thin. The existence of fibers with various characteristics must have driven humans’ creativity. And today, we live in a world of things created by our predecessors. We live in an age where we can live easily without making our own. However, even though we acquired a hospitable world full of things, we also lost something. In the past, humans and nature were connected by the line of making something, and they were existences that could not be separated. The process of making things has become more rationalized along with the evolution of humans, and materials that used to be natural things have become just materials. For that reason, I think the distance between nature and humans has been widening. In this work, the purpose is to stand out the things as things again by solidifying materials from the fiber of plant weeds to the T-shirt. These are works that I reconstructed each fiber one by one while thinking that the materials had been natural things.
